The aftermath of Stories of the North Western Railway – Sandra’s Revenge
It had been two weeks since Sandra and Charleston were sent to work with Arry and Bert at the smelters as their permanent punishment for murdering Marie Billinton, Thomas’s mother.
Thomas was pleased that Sandra and Charleston were out of his sight, but he was not altogether happy. He still couldn’t help mourning the loss of Marie.
It was a beautiful dawn as the red sky spread slowly across the sky. Thomas was standing on the highest hill on Sodor where he could see the whole railway below him.
He was still sad about Marie Billinton, and wanted to be away from his friends for a little while. So he went to that hill to be alone.
His crew, Homestar Jr, Stan and Paulina went off further down the line to give Thomas some time alone to try and make himself better. But met no success.
“Mother,” He said sadly trickling a few tears from his eyes. “If I could ever see you again, just one last time, I could tell you how much I love you.”
He was just about to start sobbing, when he heard a voice form behind him. “Thomas?” It said.
Thomas looked back and saw Molly, the yellow Claud Hamilton.
“Oh, hello, Molly.” Sniffed Thomas. “Wh... what are you doing here?”
“I came looking for you.” She puffed. Thomas looked at her eyes as did Molly look at Thomas’s.
Her crew, Specs, Wendy and Pete Dawson saw that Thomas and Molly need some time alone, so they walked away to join Thomas’s crew.
“You came looking for me?” Repeated Thomas.
“Yes.” Said Molly. “I just want to say that I’m sorry that you lost your mother.”
“Thomas sighed quietly and looked down at his buffers. “That’s alright.” He puffed. “I couldn’t just bear the sorrow about how the fire of my smokebox has been put out. I mean... you don’t know what it’s like to lose a mother.”
Molly looked at Thomas. She could see that Thomas was really sad. She was now feeling very sorry for him. So she spoke up.
“Actually...” She puffed. “I do.”
Thomas looked up. “You do?” He asked.
“Yes.” She said. “I’ve lost my mother, Claud Hamilton. She was the best mother I’ve ever had.”
“What was she like?” Peeped Thomas.
“Well,” Said Molly. “She was just like you’re mother. She was very kind and a sweet soul of the Great Northern Railways.”
“Then what happened?” Asked Thomas.
Molly paused as she could hardly bring herself to say, “She’s been withdrawn.” She said trickling a tear down her cheek.
“No!” Puffed Thomas quietly.
“Yes,” Said Molly started to cry quietly. “Besides me, Kat and Jessica were the only Claud Hamiltons left on the North Western Railway.”
She then stopped her sentence because she started to cry with tears streaming down her cheeks. Now Thomas felt very sorry for poor Molly. He decided to cheer her up as well as cheering himself up.
“Molly,” He peeped. “I’m really sorry that you’ve lost your mother as well as I did.” Molly stopped and looked at Thomas.
“At least we still got the engines that are important and are part of our families. Like I’ve still got Mike, Leo, Zoey and my father. And you’ve still got your sisters, Kat and Jessica.”
Molly then smiled. She knew that Thomas was right. She started to feel much better after what Thomas had said.
“You know,” She said. “You’re right. You made me feel much better now. Thank you, Thomas.”
It was Thomas’s turn to smile too. He was now feeling much better too. “You’re welcome, Molly.” He puffed.
They then both looked at the horizon of Sodor and saw that the sky was turning from hazy red to bright blue. It was now morning.
From up the sky, up within the clouds, the two certain engines the same classes as Thomas and Molly saw it all.
“I love you, Thomas.” Said Marie Billinton.
“I’ll never forget you too, Molly.” Peeped Claud Hamilton.
After that, Thomas and Molly are now back to work felling much more better than ever before.
But they could never forget their mothers known as Marie Billinton and Claud Hamilton, the best engines in the world.
Stephen Gately - Bright Eyes
Is it a kind of dream, Floating out on the tide,
Following the river of death downstream? Or is it a dream?
There's a fog along the horizon, A strange glow in the sky, And nobody seems to know where you go,
And what does it mean? Or is it a dream?
Bright eyes, Burning like fire Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail? How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale? Bright eyes
Is it a kind of shadow,
Reaching into the night, Wandering over the hills unseen,
Or is it a dream? There's a high wind in the trees,
A cold sound in the air, And nobody ever knows when you go,
And where do you start, Oh, into the dark
Bright eyes, burning like fire
Bright eyes, how can you close and fail? How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale? Bright eyes
Bright eyes, Burning like fire Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail? How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale? Bright eyes
THE END!
I thought that I might do a tribute to Zack's "Stories of the North Western Railway."
Here is Thomas and Molly mourning the loss of their mothers Marie and Claud Hamilton with a song in their minds "Bright Eyes" by Stephen Gately.
